Dr. S.K. Tyagi

Dr. S.K. Tyagi has over four decades of experience as a successful gastroenterologist, and is a graduate of the Armed Forces Medical College (1973) and a postgraduate in Internal Medicine from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Chandigarh (1977). He was among the pioneering specialists in private practice performing endoscopic procedures when he began his practice in Meerut in 1980.
Dr. Tyagi has also conducted significant research, including a landmark epidemiological study of Hepatitis C in Western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, identifying the region as a critical hotspot for HCV infection. With numerous publications in national and international journals and regular contributions as a speaker at gastroenterology conferences, Dr. Tyagi is a respected figure in his field. Beyond medicine, his publication on the evolving portrayal of doctors in Bollywood films (1940–2020), featured in the National Medical Journal of India. He is an avid traveler, photographer and short story writer.
