Professor Dr. Yogesh Chawla, an esteemed liver specialist, has made exceptional contributions to hepatology and medical education. Formerly the Head of Hepatology and Director of PGIMER, Chandigarh, he currently serves as Chairman of Academics and Professor Emeritus at Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) in Bhubaneswar. A Padma Shri awardee (2015) and recipient of the B.C. Roy Award (1999), Dr. Chawla is also an accomplished research scientist with over 450 publications to his credit. His role in both clinical practice and liver disease research guides and inspires future healthcare professionals.
